Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using ScaleTap ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These terms supplement and do not replace Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).

2. Description of the service

ScaleTap is a PDF measurement and markup tool for iPad. It allows you to import PDF plans, calibrate scale, place linear measurements, add markups, and export results as CSV or flattened PDF. The App is designed to work offline after installation.

3. Subscriptions and billing

  • ScaleTap offers free features (PDF viewing, navigation) and Pro features (measurement tools, CSV export, flattened PDF export) that require an active subscription.
  • Subscriptions are available on a monthly ($9.99 USD) or yearly ($69.99 USD) basis. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.
  • A free trial may be available for new subscribers, managed by Apple.
  • All billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled by Apple through your App Store account. To cancel, go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device.
  • Refund requests must be directed to Apple per their refund policy.

4. Measurement accuracy disclaimer

ScaleTap is a reference tool, not a certified measurement instrument. Measurement results depend on the accuracy of the source PDF, the scale calibration you set, and screen interaction precision. You are solely responsible for verifying all measurements before relying on them for construction, estimation, procurement, or any other purpose.

We do not guarantee that measurements taken with ScaleTap are error-free. ScaleTap shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, cost overrun, or injury resulting from reliance on measurements produced by the App.

5. Your content

You retain full ownership of the PDF documents, measurements, markups, and exported files you create with ScaleTap. We do not access, upload, or claim any rights to your content. All data is stored locally on your device.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any part of it.
  • Use the App in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
  • Remove or alter any copyright notices or branding in the App.

7. Intellectual property

ScaleTap, its design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of Godoroja. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple's EULA.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Godoroja shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of ScaleTap, including but not limited to: loss of data, loss of profits, construction delays, or incorrect material orders based on measurements.

Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Warranty disclaimer

ScaleTap is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of measurement results.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App if you violate these terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, your subscription can be cancelled through Apple, and your locally stored data remains on your device.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly. Continued use of ScaleTap after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Godoroja operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
